before bluetooth headsets came around
before bluetooth was around, remember those people (who are still around today) that talked on their cell phone using an earpiece that was wired to a mic , which connected to the cellphone? But there were the people that held the mic up to their mouth, and held the cellphone with the other hand, thus rendering them completely useless? I have shown an illustration of what i am talking about…
